Asus Zenfone 3s Max is the most recent smartphone by Asus in India. As It is a Max device, the main feature of this smartphone is a battery. Asus launched ZenFone 3S Max on 7th January in India with a price tag of Rs. 14,999. It competes Redmi Note 4, Honor 6X, Le 2, Coolpad Cool 1, etc. Let’s check out more in ZenFone 3S Max Review.  It is compact and quite comfortable with in all aspects.

Display: ZenFone 3S Max Review

The 3S Max has a curved unibody design with a 5.2 inch 2.5D glass on the top front. It has a full HD display which is a 720p display. The display looks decent and has just good colour reproduction and brightness. There are on-screen navigation keys. A physical fingerprint scanner is present at the bottom. There are volume rockers, and other standard options are present. ZenFone 3S Max is comfortable to hold, and the design is quite good in this range.

The fingerprint sensor works fine. Yes, It’s fast and accurate, but it is a passive fingerprint. To unlock the phone you need to press it first.

Zenfone 3s Max comes with a MediaTek MT6750 oct-core processor, 32GB memory and 3GB RAM. The good thing is it can handle a decent multi-tasking. The 720p display saves the battery, but we expected at least a full HD display. The gaming performance and GPU activities are quite decent, but heavy GPU usage causes frame drops and slightly sec issues.

Rest charging takes quite more time than normal. The network strength is good as well the call clarity is crisp. This time there is a 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture. The device has good connectivity including network strength. The camera is nice, but during low light, it has way more noise which is not good for any photo lover.

The smartphone runs on Android Nougat 7.0 OS with the ZenUI 3.0. It has so much customization options also there are so many apps that are good, and some of them are not required for the usage. You can remove those bloatware applications or simply disable them. Also, Some native applications are quite beneficial such as a ZenCircle, ZenTalk, ZenFoneCare, FM Radio and Sound Recorder.

If we talk about the overall performance, then It is just an average phone. If you use a smartphone on high stats, then you must consider others, but this one has the best battery backup and good performance.

Camera: ZenFone 3S Max Review

It supports 1080p video recording at 30fps. On the front, 3S Max comes with a 8 MP camera with f/2.0 aperture.

The quality from the rear camera is quite good in decent lights with natural colours and dynamic range. With HDR mode you can get more out of the same lens. The main problem is the low light condition, but somehow with the modes, you can export good output.

The front snapper is quite decent with selfies; the camera fixes your images automatically which is good for few and bad for few too. Even it supports 1080p Video recording, the detailing is good, and the focus is slightly better.

Asus Zenfone 3s Max is basically for those who needs so much battery such as travelers or long-term usage people. We just wish If Asus can put some practical price tags for its phones. The Zenfone 3S Max is quite similar to under 10K category smartphone. Yes, It’s a battery beast; with 5000mAh Battery this is one of the finest power centric smartphones in the market.
